The Best Fall Activities For A Montreal Bachelor Party

We aren’t going to sugar coat this one, but summer is definitely the best time to have a bachelor party in Montreal. It’s okay you can always come back for a boy’s weekend next weekend …Don’t be disappointed though if you happen to come in October, there is still plenty to do (Including some activities you can only do in fall!)

Here are the 5 best fall activities for a Montreal bachelor party:

Curling

We’ve already laid out why curling is a great daytime activity and it is one of the best things to do in the fall. It’s a unique experience for any bachelor party and adds something special to the weekend. First, you’ll learn how to play the game in one of the oldest curling clubs in North America. You’ll then be split into two teams and get competitive. Luckily, there is a bar on site to add some excitement to the afternoon. Losers buy next round!

College Girl Pub Crawl

Fall in Montreal is cold. Drinking is a down right necessity just to stay warm. You’re going to day drink  anyway so why not add some heat to the afternoon by having some local college girls lead you around on a pub crawl. You and your buddies will discover some bars you would have never found on your own, get drunk, and have some hot girls break up the sausage fest that is a bachelor party.

Hot College Girls

Canadiens Game

The Canadiens are Montreal’s only professional sports team (R.I.P Expos) and every home game is one giant party. Whether your bachelor party cares about hockey or not, going to a game is an experience like no other. I highly recommend getting tickets (We can help!), getting drunk on Molson’s, and heckling the players…It’s an authentic Montreal fall activity.

Pick Up Hot Montreal Girls

Fall is the perfect time to pick up hot college girls for a number of reasons. School is back in session, it’s cold, but not too cold to go out yet, and French Canadian girls are notoriously “friendly”. It also helps that people don’t barhop as much as they would in summer and tend to stay put in one spot. Here are your best bets for meeting hot Montreal girls.

Axe Throwing

Bored lumberjacks created axe throwing and somehow it has become a favorite daytime bachelor party activity. Most Canadians get drunk and find some random forest to do their axe throwing, but we’ll start you off easy, eh. The competition that axe throwing brings is always a welcomed addition to any bachelor party.

Why Curling Is A Great Daytime Activity For Bachelor Parties

What’s the first thing you think of when someone mentions curling? Crickets…Sure, the sport is a bunch of grown men sweeping ice with broomsticks, but you probably don’t think of a bachelor party. Once the summer activities start to die down and pumpkin spice season starts, curling becomes a popular activity here in Montreal. Here’s 3 reasons you should consider curling for your bachelor party:

Unique Activity

It seems like every bachelor party tries to one up the next one. Sure, we can easily throw more girls, more strip clubs, and more midgets into the mix, but how many bachelor parties go curling? Now’s your time to finally learn this mysterious game you’ve only seen on TV at the Olympics. Besides, you can finally take pictures (semi) sober with your boys and send it back to the girlfriend or wife…unless you bring along party girls of course 😉

Curling Montreal

Fun For Everyone

There are always pros and cons with daytime activities. Some guys may not like getting splashed with freezing cold water if they go jet boating or others may be scared of heights if you go zip lining, but curling is fun for the whole group. I’ve never seen an unhappy sweeper and even though the staff will explain the game to you, half the fun is not knowing what the hell you’re doing. If you’re looking to satisfy everyone in your bachelor party group, curling is a great fall and winter daytime option.

Curling Montreal

Bar

Any sport that you can do while drinking is already amazing. Just like bowling, curling is made even better with an ice cold beer in hand. Luckily for you, there is a bar inside the curling arena. It helps loosen up the muscles and makes sweeping all the more fun. By the time the afternoon is over, you and your buddies will be well on your way to making the national curling team.

The Best Montreal Hangover Meals

When you come to Montreal on a bachelor party, your going to follow a pretty straight forward formula: dinner, strip club, go out, after party, repeat. Then comes the next morning and it feels like Pierre the midget is trying to force his way out of your head. Luckily, Montreal knows you came here to party and is ready with a variety of hangover food options. Here’s 6 of our favorite Montreal hangover meals:

Poutine

Anyone that’s ever been to Montreal will tell you that you have to try poutine. We’re not sure what they sprinkle on it, but if you’ve ever had a hangover poutine, you know that feeling when you instantly come back to life. There are hundreds of poutine places all over Montreal, but head to La Banquise, a Montreal institution. Walk across the street to Parc LaFontaine to soak in some sun and if you’re feeling bold, have a beer or two with your meal to really clear that foggy head.

Montreal Hangover

Bagels

Montreal vs. New York bagels… We know every New Yorker that is going to read this will defend their own version, but we don’t care since you’re on our turf. Head to St. Viateur for their bagel sandwiches or be a true Montrealer and get bagels with a tub of cream cheese. This is our personal favorite option since the combination of doughy bread with sweet and salty flavors will have you ready for the next big night out in no time.

Bachelor Party Hangover Montreal

Down And Dirty Brunch

Montreal’s brunch scene might not be as developed as the East Coast, but don’t sleep on several great options. L’Avenue is by far one of our favorites. Although the wait can be an hour or more on the weekend depending on when you arrive, the portions are more than generous (Especially the pancakes) and you’ll have a full grown food baby by the time you leave. Of course, any brunch can be turned into a boozy one, so if that’s what you want, L’Avenue is your best option.

Bachelor Party Hangover Meal

Carb Overload

Carbs are a necessity when it comes to proper hangover recovery and Montreal is not short on carb loading options. Boustan’s is better known for its late night shenanigans, but it is also a great daytime eating spot. The Lebanese fast food restaurant serves up delicious shawarma, kebabs and falafel. If you’re more in the mood for a burger, head down the street to Crescent’s Burger Bar. After a quick scan of the menu, you’ll realize that they have already made the choice for you by offering a Hangover Burger. The burger consists of beef patties, cheese, bacon, poutine, truffle oil, caramelized onions, and for good measure, a fried egg. You can thank us later…

Hangover Burger

Dim Sum

This small portion Chinese brunch has exploded in popularity the last few years and there’s nothing better than greasy dumplings to soak up that remaining booze in your system. You really can’t go wrong with any dim sum restaurant in Chinatown on St. Laurent. Most have plenty of room to accommodate any size group so if your bachelor party consists of foodies, this is the hangover brunch for you.

Montreal Bachelor Party Hangover Meal

Brisket And Breasts

When you have a pounding hangover, the last thing you’ll want to do is stand in line and wait for smoked meat. Make your life easier and throw some fun into the mix by having Schwartz’s catered to your house with some topless waitresses serving you. Unlike those 3 shots of tequila after drinking bourbon all night, this is a decision you won’t regret.

Why August Is The Best Month For A Bachelor Party In Montreal

While there is no bad time to have a bachelor party during the summer in Montreal, in our opinion though, August is the best month to come to Montreal. It’s the tail end of summer so the city is not as packed like June and July. There are tons of cool festivals happening every weekend during the month and last, but not least, local universities are back in session. I wonder what that means…

Osheaga

The first weekend of August (August 3-5) is Osheaga, the biggest music festival in Canada. It takes place only a 10 minute Uber ride away at Jean-Drapeau Park. It always brings in big artists and this year is no exception. It also attracts big crowds from all over North America and the world. Many festival goers go out after so clubs are packed this weekend, but we’ll make sure you’re partying with all the big names since we know what clubs they go to and can get you in. Just like Grand Prix Weekend, it brings in incredibly hot girls from all over.

Osheaga Bachelor Party

Île Soniq

Taking place the weekend after Osheaga (August 9-11), Île Soniq is not as popular, but just as fun. It’s crowd is a little different than Osheaga since the festival is more geared towards EDM fans, but usually some of the DJs that played the festival, DJ the clubs at night. We’ll walk you right into these hard to get into spots this weekend and make sure you see a big name DJ if that is your thing.

Montreal Ile Soniq

Tam-Tams

If hanging out and being surrounded by people on copious amount of drugs sounds like somewhere you want to be, then this is your scene. Taking place every Sunday, Tam-Tams is a good place to soak in the sun and sweat out your hangover after brunch.

Montreal Bachelor Party August

PoutineFest

When visiting Montreal, you have to try poutine. PoutineFest has you covered. Taking place in the Old Port from July 31st to August 5th, PoutineFest brings out the best poutine from around the city and country. From foie gras to macaroni to duck poutine, the fest has it all. Grab a few drinks, some poutine, and you got yourself a great afternoon.

Poutine Fest Montreal

College Girls

Finally, hot college girls come back to Montreal with the start of the school year around the corner. Most have nothing to do so you’ll find plenty of them when you go out. Friendly French-Canadian girls are one of Montreal’s best assets.

How to do a proper dinner for your bachelor party

While the main focus of a bachelor party is booze and girls, food can also play a central role. Everyone loves a good meal, your fat “foodie” friend included, so it’s important to do them right. Oftentimes, meals are the only opportunity for your entire party to be together and semi-sober.   Here are some ways to make the bachelor’s “Last Meal” memorable:

Add Strippers

When it comes to bachelor parties, strippers make everything better. This is why, for a truly memorable experience, we offer two- girl shows in a discreet, private room at a premier steakhouse.  Having your own private space at a steakhouse is a great start, but having two or even four (although the record is 8) ladies come in and perform on the table makes for a slightly more memorable experience. A few years ago, I chose this very scenario for my own brother’s bachelor party; to this day, people still talk about it, except for my sister-in-law … she no longer speaks to me.

A two-girl show starts at $1000.

Experience naked sushi

For some clients, a show at the steakhouse is too crude.  For others, one nudity-related dining experience just isn’t enough.  In either case, naked (aka body) sushi fits the bill. We will provide your group with a private sushi chef and a naked model at either your hotel suite or a restaurant. Known in Japan as nyotaimori, it’s an experience like no other.

Naked sushi starts at $1500

Go to a supper club

A trip to a supper club is a bachelor party “must do.”  Not that well-known south of the border, supper clubs are a Montreal institution.  Essentially, you go there for a late dinner and, afterwards, they turn down the lights and turn up the music.  This is a high-end affair and bottles service is a must.  The waitresses are model hot and will probably screw up your order, but you won’t care because the place is  packed with beauties.

Go “high-end”

If you take your cuisine seriously, or want to give the Applebee’s-loving bachelor an experience to remember, then “high-end” is the way to go.  We can get you a table at the best restaurants in the city:  Au Pied de Cochon, Garde Manger, Joe Beef, La Belle Province … the list goes on.  These places will guarantee Instagram worship for your foodie friends and inspire jealousy in people you hardly know.  Montreal offers some of the finest and most innovative cuisine in North America, particularly for the money. Why not try a more high-end route?

Summer Recap – Bachelor Parties and Beyond

As Labor Day closed so did the 2013 summer here in Montreal. This past summer was the beyond busy for us here at Connected Montreal. We sold-out almost every weekend and by far threw some of the craziest bachelor parties this town has seen. Here are some of the highlights:

Grand Prix Weekend

pictureGrand Prix is always the first big weekend of the summer. As stated before Grand Prix is catered to high rollers, due to price increases (2-4x for everything) and the added exclusivity of most events. We had some new faces party with us this year and our good pals from last year came too. Due to the post-race party with our buddy Jenson Button the details are still a bit fuzzy,  but I do know this:  Someone tipped a waitress with a pair of ‘s, we consumed $17,000 worth of Champagne, and Jenson promised to give me a good deal on his Porsche

Most Amount of Nudity

pictureWhile no one has topped our Ultimate Bachelor Party from last summer. One came pretty damn close, could have been the best in suite party of all time. We had a 12, yes 12,  girl show with 2 naked waitresses, a naked sushi buffet, and a midget pouring Johnnie Blue for everyone like it was water. Certainly not a cheap affair, but undoubtedly one for the ages. If you want to top it for your bachelor party in Montreal, we have a few ideas..(Lesbian-Royale-Rumble / Jello-wresting anyone?)

Most Amount Alcohol Consumed

picture This award goes to a group of 17 guys from the South who we rented a gothic style Castle (3 floors, indoor pool, roof top deck, etc) for. We stocked their fridge with enough booze to supply the confederate army: Two 4.5L bottles of Kettle One, Four 1.75L of Jack, Three bottles of Patron, 2 bottles of Rum and 10 cases of beer.

Like themselves, it was all gone by saturday afternoon…

Strangest Request

picture We are still shaking our head at this one. One of our repeat groups must have grown tired of countless attractive strippers putting on shows for them. While the alcohol may have impaired their judgement they were adamant that they wanted to slather two girls in Vaseline and toss Schwartz’s smoked meat at them in order to see who could make more stick. Who says money doesn’t buy happiness?

Reviews

As always the corner stone of our business is making our customers happy. Here are some reviews from this summer:

Montreal Trip Review: Little people, Big fun

The bachelor party review you are about to read is true: names have been changed to protect the innocent. Enjoy the recap of this wild Montreal trip.

The Call

picture James (fake name) called me a few weeks ago and told me that he was coming to Montreal  from New York for his best buddy’s bachelor party and like any best man he wanted to make it memorable.  The main issue James had was that everyone was in or just out of med school and that the funds were tight.  I assured James that we can make a bachelor party crazy on any budget, guiding him where and where not to spend.

The setup

pictureThe first place I was able to save James some coin was by setting them up at a 3 star hotel. The package I built for them included rooms at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown. Wait, I know what you’re thinking, that’s ghetto. At first glance, it may seem that way but this particular Holiday Inn Express is a few blocks from the nightlife. All the rooms are studio suites meaning there is a kitchen, 2 beds and a pull out couch, making it one of the best choices for sleeping 4 people comfortably on a tight budget. Overall, this hotel in Montreal is a great choice if your group does not demand a 4 star or better. By placing James here I was able to free up some cap room for the festivities.

Lesbians

pictureWhile James and his buddies did do the typical strip clubs and night clubs with bottle service (Bottle service is a must at least one of the nights) they wanted something over the top.  I always try to encourage our guests to get a lesbian show at their hotel. It easily becomes the centre piece of the weekend and is something people always remember fondly. We hand pick the girls ourselves (our interview process) and deliver a show unlike any other.

I sent them the two beauties.  Needless to say, James and his buddies were slapping me high fives with huge grins on their face after the show. Best of all, the price of a full blown lesbian show breaks down price wise to same as a couple lap dances per person, offering more bang for your buck.

Bring in the Big Guns

pictureAfter the show I set the guys up at Buona Notte one of the hottest supper clubs in Montreal. This place is where celebrities and the big boys go to party. The waitresses are all model hot and get real attention. Patrons here are used to popping multiple bottles and trying to out do the table next to them. While in a few years, James and his buddies will be able to order the bottles of Cristal (like our Grand Prix clients) to get attention, they did hire the right guy for the job. We opened the Connected tool chest and brought out our secret weapon : Harry The Midget.

pictureHarry is our little person friend who parties like a rock star. He’s better than any magnum of Cristal you can buy, guaranteed. If you really want to pickup or get attention include a midget bartender in your package!  For less than a price of a few bottles, Harry is up on the table dancing and pouring drinks for the boys.  EVERYONE notices, instantly we became the center of attention at the hottest nightclub in Montreal. Girls flocked to our table all wanting to take pictures with Harry and the cold model-like waitresses came over and partied with us all night. Everyone had more girls around them then they knew what to do with.

It does not matter how small your budget is, we will makes sure you guys have the time of your lives. Give us a call 1-877-690-4919  and we will take care of the rest.

The Best Montreal Bars for Good Drinks and Better Looking Girls

Some of you have graduated from pounding pitchers at a local dive bar and would prefer a more refined way to have a pre-dinner cocktail. We have already warned you about the dangers of drinking too hard and too fast, so we decided to make a list of the best Montreal bars. These establishments serve a killer drink and are populated with some of the best looking women in the city. Head to these Montreal bars for your bachelor party and start the night off right.

Philemonpicture

Located in the heart of the Old Port, Philemon not only caters to a good looking crowd, but they also have a pretty extensive wine and champagne list for any aspiring wine connoisseurs. The layout is slick with big windows that face beautiful Saint Paul Street. They also have a great happy hour (5-7), so if you’re in town during the week we highly recommend you check this place out.

Address – 111 Rue Saint-Paul Est

Big in Japan picture

Don’t confuse the bar with the restaurant of the same name further south of Saint-Laurent. This is a low key establishment where you won’t find pumping music nor packed crowds. It’s a dimly lit “speak-easy” that has a great selection of beer, sake, and Japanese scotch. They have a food menu for those who want to eat while they drink. This place is recommended to the group that wants a quiet venue where they can drink in peace before the start of the night’s debauchery. This place is suitable for smaller groups.

Address – 4175 Boulevard Saint-Laurent

Candi Barpicture

This is a bar where you probably won’t enjoy the drinks as they all have a lot of sugar in them (bring an insulin shot), but you will find a lot of girls. Candi Bar is a theme bar and is catered to the Plateau crowd (eclectic). You have a good chance of standing out, as there aren’t many bachelor parties in this neck of the woods. This will garner your group some much needed attention that will help in picking up a pack of local French girls.

Address – 1148 Av. Mont Royal E.

Furcopicture

Furco is the newest bar on our list. Upon walking in, you get the feel that the place is cool, expertly designed with an industrial feel. There is an extensive drink menu and, more importantly, lots of ladies. Remember, none of these bars are “crazy” places, they are merely bars where you can get a quality drink, talk up some ladies, and kick off your bachelor party weekend.

Address – 425 Rue Mayor

Trip Review: A Bachelor Party Better Than Las Vegas?

Can a Bachelor Party in Montreal Top Vegas?

I got a call two weeks ago from Evan in Toronto, a best man in trouble. Evan explained to me that some last minute issues came up and that they could no longer throw their bachelor party in Las Vegas. They were coming to Montreal. Evan was rolling into town with 15 guys and they were used to only the best of the best. He was skeptical that we could deliver an experience close to what Las Vegas had to offer. I assured Evan that not only could we deliver, but that the experience would blow them away. After some back and forth, we started planning out one crazy night.

Private Party in the Suite

7pm: We starting by throwing one of our signature private parties in the penthouse suite of the W hotel. In the suite, we had:

We planned the party so there was a slow build, as only Evan was given all the details. We had the midget walk in with the catering and the two waitresses started to disrobe. The guys were loving it. Our new model shortly gave up serving the guys and started giving the bachelor lap dances (old habits die hard).

About 30 minutes into the festivities the main event walked in, two smoking hot “lesbians”. While I would love to give details of what happened next, it’s probably best for everyone involved that I don’t. However, I will let you know that what started out as a 2 girls show ended up being a 4 girls and a midget…

But don’t take our word for it…

Strip Club

10pm: Our previous bachelor party review tells us there is never too much nudity so Rod took the boys over to the hottest strip club in Montreal, Kamasutra, for some quick laps. There was a blur of naked strippers all over the place and many of the guy disappeared to the back. While at Kamasutra, a group of guys tried to drop our name saying they had a reservation in order to skip the huge line outside. Needless to say our good friend JP, the manager, did not like this and ended up banning them from the club (that’s JP being nice…).

Nightclub

Midnight: We took those still left standing down to New City Gas. We escorted them in like rock stars to the best table in the place. Too many bottles were popped and not much else of the night is clear…

If you want the best bachelor party in Montreal possible give us a call 1.877.690.4919.

The Best Sunday Activities for a Bachelor Party

If you are fortunate enough to get an extra day in Montreal for a bachelor party or if you happen to be in town for a long weekend, here is a list of some cool Sunday activities for a bachelor party.

Tam Tams

Every Sunday during summer, people gather on the grassy knoll of Mount Royal to hang out. There’s nothing like it, but the scene is best described as the beach minus the sand and water. There’s a lot of hot girls hanging out and getting high (on life). It’s a great place to mingle with locals and check out the beauties of Montreal everyone keeps talking about (although you may have gotten a sneak peak over the weekend). If you want to get deep into the Tam Tams, checkout the huge drum circle or the live action role-playing in the woods. It’s a lot more entertaining than you would think.

Bike/Walking Tours of Montreal

Typically, sightseeing is something relegated to families and couples, not bachelor parties. However, by the time Sunday rolls around you might have had enough of strippers and bottles, and will want to take in some culture. Montreal is, after all, the culture capital of North America. There are a few great tours of Montreal worth checking out. The two most popular tours we offer are Bike tours and walking/food tours. All of our tours are tailored to what you guys want to do, from cool places to eat to more traditional sights. Don’t worry, there are always a few stops on the way for some brews.

Club Muzique

Unless it’s a long weekend there are no clubs happening on a Sunday night, except for Muzique. Club Muzique (see our list of best clubs to pickup girls) has picked up where Club Central Station and Club Opera have left off, by throwing industry night parties on Sundays. Every Montreal stripper, bartender, waitress, degenerate, and anyone else who cheats on their taxes is there. Often times, Sunday can become the craziest night for a bachelor party in Montreal. We will walk you in and set you up with a great table and re-introduce you to all the girls you don’t recognize because they are clothed. If you want to party on Sunday, this is the best place to be.
