Montreal Nightclubs Vs. Las Vegas Nightclubs

Montreal and Las Vegas are some of the best cities in North America to have a bachelor party. Each city appeals to a different type of bachelor party. You don’t have to be a party animal to know that Montreal nightclubs are different than Las Vegas nightclubs. Beyond the obvious differences between the two cities such as size and weather, Montreal and Las Vegas each have their respective nightlife strengths and weaknesses. Here’s a look at the differences between Montreal and Las Vegas nightclubs:

Quality

Vegas is known for its nightlife because frankly there is nothing else to do in the middle of desert. It is home to arguably some of the best nightclubs in the world. From 1Oak to Marquee to Hakkasan, it’s easy to find whatever type of club you are looking for in Vegas. However, with this reputation, comes pretentious douchebags and long lines. Montreal’s nightlife, on the other hand, is underrated and often people are surprised at how good Montreal’s nightclubs are. La Voute and Bord’elle are two of the best and within walking distance of each other. Club goers are laid back and French Canadian girls  are very “friendly”.

VIP

Montreal has everything that is great about VIP without the show that Vegas has. In Vegas, you have people crowding around your table, slower table service, and you have to pay more money for a better location. Everything about VIP in Vegas is about who can spend more money. Montreal is more relaxed. It’s a city where clubbing is all about getting a table and bottles. If you’re not getting bottle service, you’re doing it wrong. You’ll still enjoy the benefits of VIP like status and location in Montreal with bottles, but there’s no specific reserved VIP section like Vegas.

Price

When it comes to costs, Montreal blows Vegas out of the water. It’d be difficult for a bachelor party to spend under a $1,000…just to get their foot in the door in Vegas. You’ll find it hard to get in anywhere with a big group of guys. Montreal is a different story. You can have an epic weekend with a $1,000 budget. Considering a bottle is only $250, going out in Montreal is reasonable. Oh, and we’ll make sure you get in to the best clubs in the city…with a group of hot, young, and impressionable party girls. Sounds a lot better than the sausage fest you’d roll up to the club with in Vegas.

Top 5 Bars and Clubs in Montreal To Pick Up “Friendly” French Canadian Girls

Montreal is famous having a slew of hot spots, some being a little hotter than others. If your goal is to go home with someone to, um, help you cook breakfast in the morning, then you may want to try out one of these spots:

Chez Serge

Chez Serge is your typical sports bar. It’s got drinks in buckets, constant dancing on the bar, and it even has a mechanical bull (which can yield either sexy or hilarious results from a spectators perspective). The whole place reeks of teenage pregnancy.

Apartment 200

This place is a personal favorite that’s been designed to look like a a cool dude’s apartment. Therefore, every night at Apartment 200 is basically a house party, plus as an added bonus there’s a bunch of vintage arcade games. The place is consistently packed with hipsters and french girls who, after a couple of drinks, will be impressed that you remember when NBA Jam came out. Just keep those Jagerbombs coming!

Distillerie

Distillerie is famous for it’s impeccable drink selection. They’re got mixed drinks so big they would make Bill Cosby blush.

Le Saint Sulpice

Not only is this a great bar and a great place to meet girls, but it’s actually a really nice location as well. It’s a huge outdoor garden/terrace that’s ideal on a nice evening. Oh, and it happens to be right next to the biggest university in town. That doesn’t hurt, either. The Thursday nights at Saint Sulpice are legendary for offering cheap beer and even cheaper women. Ordering drinks here will make you feel like you’re back in Thailand, only this time you’ll have showered.

Montreal Planned Parent Hood

Just kidding, French girls keep it, so bag it up!

Top Tips for large Bachelor Parties in Montreal

Don’t let your Bachelor Party turn into a sausage fest because of poor planning.

If your bachelor party is over 10 people, then it is considered a large group by Montreal bachelor party standards. There is a lot to consider when you’re dealing with a large group if you want things to run smoothly. To help with the process, check out our tried-and-true tips below.

Plan ahead

Don’t be this guy.

If you are reading this from your hotel room in Montreal you are probably already screwed. If not, you need to plan ahead. The easiest way to do this is to call us (shameless plug) 1-877-690-4019 and we will take care of everything else. Otherwise, you really need to have a game plan and some reservations in place. unless you like spending a lot of time outdoors you cannot just ‘wing it’ as no place wants a large group of dudes from out of town.

Be a dictator

When dealing with a large group you have to realize that democracy spells disaster. If you want things to go smoothly you have to grow a pair and make the decisions. Tell the group what is what. If you open up the decision making process to everyone you will run in circles, and nothing will get done. We do recommend having one or two key advisors, but at the end of the day you have to call the shots. Let the group know when, where and how much money you need to collect and you will win their hearts and minds. Set deadlines, if people don’t follow them just plan on not having them there. You are the BEST man, act like it!

Collect money up front

One of the biggest hurdles of planning any bachelor party is the budget. The larger the group the larger the budgets vary. The key here is to keep the sticker price of the bachelor party as low as possible to get as many people on board, while making it as all-inclusive as possible. Make sure you have all the key costs (hotel, bottles, dinners, transportation) factored into the price. Leave nothing to chance, and never think that you will just collect at the venue from everyone. Trust me, you will get burned 100% of the time if you think everyone will chip an equal share when the bill comes.

Don’t plan too many activities

You are on a bachelor party NOT a bachelorette party. You do not need to make sure there is something to do every 15 min. Overall less is more when dealing with a large group. We suggest zero to one daytime/set activity during the day. Focus more on the nightlife. For the nightlife have one club and strip club set at a minimum for each night.
