17 Jul How Your Friends Are Ruining Your Bachelor Party in Montreal
So you’re planning a bachelor party in Montreal and you’ve invited all the key people. Here’s why your friends will ruin your bachelor party, if you let them, and what you can do about it.
The Drunk

However, there’s a time and a place for everything. No one wants to be the fat girl at the keg party who has to babysit the friend who is beyond drunk. If they are so gone that they are starting to embarrass the group, then it’s time to thin the herd. Most Montreal nightclubs will not let your drunk friend in if they are obviously wasted. The only people allowed to be embarrassingly drunk are the bachelor and/or your 18 year old cousin who loves the taste of Smirnoff Ice.
The Cheapskate
[image_frame width=150 height=150 pattern=”dotted” align=”right”]https://connectedmtl.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/cheap-bachelor-party-in-Montreal.jpeg[/image_frame]This guy will be easy to spot as he is the one asking for public transportation options from the airport rather than spend the flat $40 to downtown. This guy is toxic to a bachelor party: he will balk at everything from the price of bottles to the $15 it takes to feel up a 20 year old stripper that’s out of his league. A bachelor party is meant to be a blow-out, not a trip to the flea market. The easiest way to make sure he doesn’t ruin your bachelor party is to ignore him and make sure all the key items are paid for in advance.
The Wise Ass
[image_frame width=150 height=150 pattern=”dotted” align=”right”]https://connectedmtl.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/montreal-customs.jpeg[/image_frame]You’re traveling to a foreign land where English is not the primary language. A good rule of thumb when traveling is to be polite and to bite your tongue. This is nearly impossible with The Wise Ass. Best to distance yourself, or better, call him out and tell him to stop being an asshole. The Wise Ass will be obvious when the entire group gets flagged at customs after he makes a snarky comment.
The Know-It-All
[image_frame width=150 height=150 pattern=”dotted” align=”right”]https://connectedmtl.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/bachelor-party-expert.jpeg[/image_frame]This is usually the person no one really wanted to invite, but since you’ve known him so long your hand was forced. The Know-It-All’s stories all start with “when I…”, or better, how The Know-It-All went to Montreal 10 years ago or he has a friend of a friend that did. The Know-it-All can ruin a bachelor party in Montreal because they actually don’t know it all. THe best piece of advice is not to take this guy’s advice on any decision worth $20 or more. It’s best to ask us because when it comes to a bachelor party in Montreal, we do know it all.
