Jello Wrestling – Crazy Idea for a Crazy bachelor party

Here in the Connected Montreal test kitchen, we are always looking to push the boundaries of bachelor party insanity. We strive to come up with the best ideas for the best possible bachelor parties. This last bachelor party idea came to us after a few too many 18yr old (Scotch), “Why not jello wrestling?”.  Sure, we have all heard of it before, but how many of us had actually done it? We had to put our connections to use.

We always test ideas on friends first. We contacted one of our friends who owns a restaurant supply company, getting us  direct access to industrial 50lbs buckets of  jello powder. In the end we used over 200lbs! (We later realized that we could have used a bit less powder and a few more tarps..). With a cold spell to cool the jello, ice and some MacGyverism the stage was set.  Beleive it or not finding some hotties to wrestle in 200lbs of cherry jello was not difficult given our wide talent pool of strippers/models/bartenders/single mothers.

Let’s get ready to rumble!

[image_frame width=150 height=150 pattern=”dotted” align=”right”][/image_frame]We have thrown a lot of crazy bachelor parties and have done almost everything imaginable (naked sushi, bartenders, lesbian shows etc.), by far jello wrestling was the most entertaining.  Rod and I have not laughed that hard in a long time. What started as organized wrestling with rules and weight classes quickly turned into a no-holds-barred royal rumble. Jello, girls, and bikinis where flying in every direction. No one was spared, including some areas we forgot to tarp off.  Luckily we got some great shots with our photographer to share the moment.

[image_frame width=150 height=150 pattern=”dotted” align=”right”][/image_frame]While Jello wrestling was by far one of the crazier and entertaining experiences we have done, it was a real learning process. We learned that we can use less jello and more tarp/plastic.  Like all the best parties the next day was terrible. Between the setup time and clean up we have never put some much effort into a few hour of fun. Let me tell you it was worth it!

Since then we have mastered the mixed-moral-arts and have done jello wrestling several times. We have dramatically decreased the setup and cleaning time enabling us to offer this service to our clients. While it is not very economical it’s by far one of the craziest and most memorable actives you can do on a bachelor party.
