Yes. All US citizens need a valid passport to enter Canada. Enhanced driver's licenses are accepted at land crossings but not for air travel. Make sure everyone in your group checks their passport expiration before booking flights.

Direct flights from New York (JFK/LGA/EWR) to Montréal are about 1 hour 20 minutes. From Boston it's about 1 hour 10 minutes. From Chicago, about 2 hours. Most major East Coast cities have direct flights under 2 hours.

Canadian dollars (CAD). The exchange rate typically gives Americans 25-35% more purchasing power. Most places accept credit cards, but some smaller bars and restaurants are cash-only. ATMs are everywhere.

Montréal is consistently ranked one of the safest major cities in North America. The nightlife districts are well-patrolled and walkable. Standard city awareness applies — stick together, don't flash cash, and your host will steer you away from any areas that aren't worth your time.

The Plateau is the most popular for groups — walkable, central, and close to everything. Old Port is great for a more upscale feel with waterfront dining. Downtown puts you near the Bell Centre and Crescent Street nightlife. We match the neighborhood to your group's energy.

May through October for warm weather, terrasses, and outdoor activities. June-September is peak season with festivals (F1 Grand Prix, Jazz Fest, Just for Laughs). December-March is winter season — snowmobiling, ice fishing, skiing, and a completely different but equally impressive city.

Montréal is bilingual. Downtown, Old Port, and the Plateau are heavily English-friendly. Most restaurant and bar staff speak both languages fluently. You won't have any communication issues — and the French adds to the European atmosphere.

Packages start around $500/person for a 2-night essentials weekend and go up to $1,500+/person for a full signature experience with private dining, yacht, and premium nightlife. The biggest variable is group size — larger groups get better per-person pricing because housing costs are split more ways.

A minimum $500 non-refundable deposit is required to confirm reservations. Payment in full is required prior to arrival. No refund will be issued for cancellations made within 72 hours of the arrival date. We are not responsible for currency fluctuations after invoicing or exchange rate fees charged by your card issuer for international processing.

Tipping culture in Montréal is similar to the US: 15-20% at restaurants, $1-2 per drink at bars, 15-20% for services. Pre-paid packages include gratuity for included meals and services so your group isn't doing math at the end of every dinner.
